In North Bay, Ontario, Canada, there is a college of applied arts and technology called Canadore College. It was established in 1967 as a campus of Cambrian College in Sudbury and became a standalone organisation in 1972. Four sites make up Canadore College: the Aviation Technology Campus, Commerce Court Campus, and Education Centre (College Drive Campus) in North Bay, Ontario; one campus in West Parry Sound, Ontario; three campuses in the GTA (Scarborough, Mississauga, and Brampton); and Canadore at Stanford.
A 263-hectare (650-acre) wooded escarpment with more than 26 km (16 km) of wilderness pathways surrounds the Education Center. The Village, a brand-new $20 million “health and wellness centre,” was inaugurated by Canadore in 2018.
