The national centre for disaster risk reduction and natural hazard resilience in Australia is called Natural Hazards Research Australia. The establishment of a national research programme that fulfils our guiding vision—that communities will be safer, more resilient, and sustainable in the face of natural hazards—began in July 2021 with the launch of Natural Hazards Research Australia (the Centre).

The Natural Hazards Research Australia Fellowships help early-career researchers, researchers who are already working in the field, and late-stage PhD students advance their careers. You may discover more about how the research programme is created.
