The International Excellence Scholarships were created by Swansea University to aid foreign students studying in the UK. The application period for the academic year 2022–2023 is currently open.
Undergraduate and graduate students who have shown academic distinction or the ability to do so throughout their stay at Swansea University will be given this fellowship. Scholarships are given as a tuition discount.

In Swansea, Wales, the United Kingdom, there is a public research university called Swansea University. As the fourth college of the University of Wales, it was established in 1920 as University College of Swansea. Following institutional changes within the University of Wales, it changed its name to the University of Wales Swansea in 1996.
On September 1, 2007, when the University of Wales became a non-membership confederal organisation and the previous members became universities in their own right, the name Swansea University was legally adopted.
Eight colleges are housed in Swansea University’s two campuses, which are situated along Swansea Bay’s shore. West of Swansea’s city centre, in Singleton Park, is where the Singleton Park Campus is located. The £450 million Bay Campus, which opened in September 2015, is situated next to Jersey Marine Beach in the Neath Port Talbot neighbourhood, east of Swansea’s city centre.

Swansea University is a research-focused institution with 61 research centres. Swansea was ranked 26th in the UK for research excellence by the Research Excellence Framework (2014). It examined the work of about 400 employees in 18 different topic areas. Today, across all fields, 30% of research is rated as world-leading, and 90% as globally good. Swansea University came in at number 22 in the UK for producing research that actually affects major world problems.
Swansea University was able to generate an additional £2.5 million from other organisations for every £1 million that the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales provided in the research grant. For promoting women’s careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine, it was given the Athena SWAN Bronze medal.
Academics from Swansea are involved in the Bloodhound Supersonic Car land-speed world record attempt, which is scheduled to take place in Hakskeenpan, South Africa, in October 2016. The institution also played a significant role in the successful Thrust SSC land speed record attempt, which is still the current record holder.

- Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Applicants must be non-UK nationals and classed as overseas fee payers. If the fee status of the applicant changes after the scholarship application is made, then the University will need to remove the scholarship.
- Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in their academic performance to date and be able to show what they will achieve at Swansea University in their application.
- Students on BSc, BA, BEng, LLB, MEng, MSci, MSc, MPharm, MBBCh, MA, LLM, and MRes (not the same as Masters by Research) are eligible.
- Applicants must have applied for and received an offer to study at Swansea University at the Undergraduate or Master’s level.
