To qualify for the Royal Thai Government Scholarships 2024, candidates must fulfill all of the following requirements:
- All Thai and foreign international students from Asian countries can apply.
- Master’s and PhD degree programs in the desired field of study offered at the Asian Institute of Technology can be applied for.
- To be eligible for masters program, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- Have an outstanding education record in a 4-year undergraduate program from an accredited institution in related fields; GPA for Bachelor’s degree ≥ 3.5
- Have an English proficiency score as specified by AIT Language Center (IELTS 6.0 (Overall and Writing bands) or AIT EET ≥ 6.0).
- To be eligible for Phd program, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- Have an outstanding education record in a 4-year Undergraduate Program and 2-year Master’s Program from an accredited institution in related fields; GPA of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree ≥ 3.5
- Two recommendation letters;
- Research proposal;
- Have an English proficiency score as required by AIT Language Center (IELTS 6.0 (Overall and Writing bands) or AIT EET ≥ 6.0).

How to Apply for the Royal Thai Government Scholarships?

- The applicants must log in to the application portal of the university and apply for admission. All eligible candidates will be considered automatically.
- The students are required to provide recommendation letters and research proposal.

The Thai Government Scholarships will provide the recipient with the following benefits:
For Master:
Each scholarship award covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus, for the entire period of the 22-month master degree program. The value of the non-binding Scholarship per student is approximately 1.10 MB.
For PhD:
Each scholarship award covers tuition, registration fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus for the entire period of the 41-month (7-semester) duration for Ph.D. programs. The value of the non-binding Scholarship per student is approximately 1.96 MB.
